An Empty Home (and some cats)

Solstice.

I know it's been rough lately. I know your eyes are shattered windows and your heart the empty home. I know what you've been thinking. I know it was supposed to get easier.

I know it hasn't.

The ceiling leaks. A colony of cats is living in the remains of the kitchen and the front door doesn't open anymore.

It's okay.

You're not alone, and the back door still works just fine. You've always been a tad counter-intuitive but somebody's always found their way inside your walls.

Yes - they're usually travelers who only stay the night - but you kept them warm. You kept them safe.

You've changed their lives. You've saved their lives.

Don't forget that, okay?

If anything, you'll always have the cats.
